League Suspends Tampa Bay 1B Jackson Sunday, May 26th , 2024
Captains first baseman Aaron Jackson will begin a 2-game suspension today for a confrontation with an umpire in a recent Tampa Bay-Carolina clash. The league suspended him for "inappropriate and aggressive actions" toward an umpire. Jackson profusely argued a third strike call and was eventually ejected by the home plate umpire.
Currently Jackson is batting .333 with 24 hits and 4 home runs. He has knocked in 10 runs and scored 11 times.
