Charleston Designated Hitter Best Rookie Monday, August 1st , 2022 Charleston's Nelson Ziersch collected 28 hits to snare the National Conference Rookie of the Month for July. He batted .329 with 7 home runs, 19 RBIs and 25 runs scored. The 19-year-old is barely old enough to shave, but he could definitely contend for Rookie of the Year if he keeps up this pace. This season, Ziersch has delivered 63 hits in 218 at-bats for a .289 average with 10 home runs. He is getting on base at a .430 clip and his totals also include 41 RBIs and 56 runs scored. This year Ziersch has played in 61 games. |
