Season Over for Carlos Carachure in Hollywood
Wednesday, May 15th , 2024
The doctors have spoken and Carlos Carachure of the Hollywood Stars didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Carachure sustained his season-ending injury during the Indianapolis Eagles game yesterday at Hollywood Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Hollywood medical staff reported Carachure had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months.

This year, Carachure has made 9 starts, thrown 45.2 innings, fanned 53 batters and walked 16. His won-lost record is 2-3 with a 4.73 ERA.
