American Conference Selects Best Performer Monday, May 13th , 2024 Syracuse fans have something to crow about today as Syracuse right fielder Chris Service nabbed the American Conference Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Service. He posted a .737 average (14-for-19) this past week with no home runs, 4 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. Service is hitting at a .277 mark this season. His stats show no home runs, 8 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has played 35 games for the Scorpions. |
