League Suspends Volk Saturday, July 2nd , 2022 Syracuse's Nate Volk has been given a 3-game suspension for his outburst following an ejection in a recent game with the Cleveland Brawlers at Scorpion Stadium. He was called out on a third strike by the plate umpire and halted the game to argue about it. The disgusted Volk slowly walked back to the dugout with bat in hand, but suddenly turned around and headed toward the umpire. He was stopped by the on-deck hitter and third base coach as his manager continued to argue the call. A moment later, Volk was ejected. Volk is swinging at a .265 pace on the year with 3 home runs, 27 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has played in 58 games. |
