Eagles 2B Cortez Gets the Cycle Tuesday, June 28th , 2022 Eagles second baseman Henry Cortez made big news in Indianapolis's 9-6 victory over the Cincinnati Royals. He was 4-for-4 at the plate and hit for the cycle, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. "My numbers were gaudy but lots of guys deserve a share of the credit today," Cortez said later. Henry Cortez tripled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Gary Barone in the 7th. This year, Cortez has socked 44 hits in 156 at-bats for a .282 average with 13 home runs. He is getting on base at a .309 pace and his totals also include 29 RBIs and 26 runs scored.
