Young Injured, Day-to-Day Wednesday, August 28th , 2019 Corey Young, the talented San Diego star, suffered a bruised knee yesterday in the game with the Wild Things, which could keep him out of today's lineup. "I'm a bit banged up," said the 32-year-old shortstop, "but we won't know until game time if I can play or not." Young got hurt while being hit by a pitch. The team doctor said he could be out up to one week. This year Young has collected a .255 batting average to date with 68 hits in 267 at-bats, 34 RBIs, 11 home runs and scored 45 times. He has played in 72 games. |
