Hammang Gets 4-Game Suspension Saturday, July 8th , 2023 The league commissioner has zero tolerance when it comes to touching an umpire. That's the reason Danny Hammang of the Scorpions has been given a 4-game suspension. He apparently made too much contact with the home plate umpire while intensely questioning a called strike in a recent game at Scorpion Stadium with the New York Nightmare. Hammang said he would not appeal and would serve his suspension beginning today. In 80 games this season, Hammang has batted at a .265 pace with 76 hits and 8 home runs. |
