Dallas Sends Heustess to Carolina Wednesday, July 5th , 2023 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Dragons announced today the acquisition of 28-year old RHP Mike Fisher from the Carolina Reapers in exchange for 25-year old minor league LHP Mike Heustess and 19-year old minor league C Patrick Burt. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Dragons, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Thus far in his career, Heustess has 2 saves with a 3-4 record and a 4.14 ERA. To date this season, Fisher has fashioned a 3.18 ERA and rung up 9 saves for his club. He has 18 strikeouts and 4 walks. Opponents have hit for a combined .239 average against him and Fisher has a 1-2 won-lost mark. |
