Kearney Goes 5-for-6 Against Vancouver
Saturday, June 14th , 2025
Speaking with reporters after a dominating hitting performance, Casey Kearney said his club's tilt with the Vancouver Caribou "felt almost like batting practice." The 23-year-old right fielder went a remarkable 5-for-6 at the plate.
"I saw the ball well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted," he recalled later.
However, his sensational day wasn't enough for the Syracuse Scorpions, who were topped by the Caribou, 8-5.
"It's a good lesson for him, I guess," Scorpions manager Josh Gifford said. "Sometimes Casey is going to lose. But I would rather him go 5-for-6 and lose than go 0-for-6 and lose."
Casey Kearney singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, singled in the 9th and struck out in the 11th.
Currently Kearney is batting .300 with 7 home runs and 37 RBIs.
