Fitzgerald Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Monday, June 9th , 2025 Josh Fitzgerald collected 1 hit in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Halifax Heathens, beat the Detroit Giants, 9-3. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Fitzgerald quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Josh Fitzgerald grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and hit an RBI double in the 7th. So far this year, Fitzgerald is hitting .310 with 8 home runs. |
