Caribou End Daniel Streak
Wednesday, June 4th , 2025
It was the best of both worlds for the Vancouver Caribou at Mounties Field, as they defeated the Hollywood Stars, 3-2, and also snapped Eric Daniel's 20-game hitting streak. The 26-year-old Hollywood first baseman failed to get a hit in 1 at-bat.

"Nothing personal against Daniel, we just wanted to win the game," said Caribou skipper Pete Clark. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Daniel frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."

For the season, Daniel is batting .382 with 47 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 16 times and batted in 18.
