Monster 3-HR Day for Pierce Tuesday, June 3rd , 2025 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Marauders-23ers game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Philadelphia left fielder Danny Pierce thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Philadelphia to a win, 6-3, over Fountain Hills. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Pierce said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Pierce, who is a three-time All-Star, was 3-for-4 on the day with 6 runs batted in. Danny Pierce hit a solo-shot off Bill Mosher in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Bill Mosher in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Bill Mosher in the 4th and flied out in the 6th. This season, Pierce has hit 18 home runs and posted a .204 batting average. |
