AC Names Newcomer of the Month Thursday, August 1st , 2019 Youngster Jose Duarte emerged as the latest American Conference Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Philadelphia deserved the honor, batting .396 with 6 home runs and 12 RBI. Is the month of July a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Duarte enjoy the limelight. This season Duarte is hitting .259 with 60 hits, 18 home runs, 35 RBIs, scored 34 runs and played in 83 games. |
