Detroit-Indianapolis Trade: Caporn for Valentine Saturday, July 24th , 2021 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Giants announced today the acquisition of 23-year old minor league SS Glenn Valentine, 20-year old minor league RHP Nate Ray, and a 5th round draft pick from the Indianapolis Eagles in exchange for 27-year old LHP Rodney Caporn. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Giants, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." This season, Caporn has compiled a 5-11 record with a 5.17 ERA. |
