Gilfillan Booms 3 Homers Saturday, July 20th , 2019 Matt Gilfillan showed off his power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the Toronto Trash Pandas and sparked the Shiners to a 7-6 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at Ballpark of Charleston." For the day, Gilfillan collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Charleston skipper Chad Hart said. "Matt really put on a show." Matt Gilfillan hit a solo-shot off Andy Dooley in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Andy Dooley in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Luis Ramirez in the 10th. Presently Gilfillan is batting .263 with 93 hits and 28 home runs. He has knocked in 58 runs and scored 66 times. |
