Deal: Penichet for Kesterson Saturday, July 6th , 2019 It's all done except the paperwork. The Cincinnati Royals and the Maine Pines have agreed to a trade that will send 28-year old LHP Sergio Penichet to Maine, while 23-year old minor league SS Rich Kesterson and 21-year old minor league CF Pat Kirchner will be shipped to Cincinnati. A top front office executive with the Royals described the trade talks as "quick and easy." "We're glad to get this deal done. We think it's something that helps our ball club and it didn't take too long at all to sort this one out," he said. Taking a look at this year, Sergio Penichet has made 23 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 2-1 won-lost mark and a 3.66 ERA. In pitching 46.2 innings, he has totaled 79 strikeouts and 12 walks. |
