Lutz on Fire, 6-for-6 Against Carolina Sunday, May 11th , 2025 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Chris Lutz -- a 6-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Ballpark of Detroit and paced the 15-3 Giants win over the Carolina Reapers. After his dynamite batting performance, the Detroit right fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 6 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Chris Lutz doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
