Boston's John Benson Injured Friday, May 9th , 2025 The season is ending on a bad note for John Benson, center fielder for the Boston Whistlers. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Benson was hurt against the Charleston Sea Dogs while throwing the ball. He suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament and will be out for at least 6-7 months. For the year, Benson is batting .143 with no home runs, 1 RBIs and 1 run scored. |
