Ugly Incident Ends in 3-Game Suspension
Thursday, April 24th , 2025
There was a hostile encounter between Brandon Titus and the men in blue in yesterday's Chicago-Toronto game. The Gangsters left fielder was tossed for arguing a called third strike. Actually he did a little more than just complain about the call -- he got in the umpire's face and had to be restrained by his manager.
"I don't think I did anything to deserve to be thrown out of the game in the first place, never mind be suspended," Titus stated. "That's unbelievable. I still don't know why he threw me out of the game. I didn't charge over there until after he gave me the heave-ho."
The league office did not agree with his assessment of the confrontation and suspended Titus for 3 games.
So far this year, Titus is batting .250 with 5 home runs.
