Invaders Cunningham Booms 3 HRs Friday, May 5th , 2023 Jonathan Cunningham went the distance three times in the Oakland-Phoenix tilt at Gladiators Ballpark, but the Invaders lost, 11-7. "Gosh, it's a shame we didn't win this game," Cunningham said later. For the day, the Oakland first baseman went 3-for-7 against Phoenix with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting. "I was in a groove and every pitch they tossed up there looked like a basketball," he said. "I tell you what, I was surprised because I didn't think the last ball had enough to get out. I thought it was just going to be a long out." Jonathan Cunningham hit a solo-shot off Bob Rehm in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Bob Rehm in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Oscar Malave in the 7th, flied out in the 9th, grounded out in the 12th and flied out in the 13th.
