Hit Streak Now at 20 for Julio Monday, May 1st , 2023 The number just keeps getting higher. Chicago shortstop Clemente Julio has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 2 at-bats as the Chicago won the game, 8-3, over the Vancouver Mounties at Mounties Field. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Vancouver manager Zaire Hyde said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Clemente Julio grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Julio is currently batting .359 with 3 home runs and 14 RBIs. |
