San Diego's Ed Woodside Suffers Setback Sunday, April 30th , 2023 Yesterday San Diego center fielder Ed Woodside sustained a setback in his recovery from a sprained ankle. The Fleet medical staff told him it would be at least 1-2 weeks before he will be able to return to action. Woodside told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Woodside worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal. In 2023 Woodside has hit at a .176 clip with 9 hits, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and has scored 9 times. |
