Whistlers End DeSanto Streak Sunday, May 16th , 2021 It was a doubly miserable day for Dave DeSanto of the Halifax Heathens, as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 2-1, to the Boston Whistlers at Whislters Park. The 26-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Whistlers. "Anyone on a 20-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Boston manager Ben Foster said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." So far this year, DeSanto is batting .382 with 2 home runs. |
