DeSanto Hits in 20 Straight Games Saturday, May 15th , 2021 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Dave DeSanto did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Whislters Park. For the last 20 games in a row, the 26-year-old left fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Halifax Heathens beat the Boston Whistlers, 3-2. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," DeSanto told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Halifax clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Dave DeSanto flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. In 23 games DeSanto is hitting .400 this season with 34 hits, 2 home runs, 20 RBIs, 7 walks, .441 OBP and has scored 13 runs. |
