Philadelphia-New York Brawl, McDonald and Mitchell Suspended Friday, April 11th , 2025 If there wasn't a history between Art McDonald of Philadelphia and J.R. Mitchell of New York, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," McDonald said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." So far this season, McDonald has gotten 14 hits in 56 at-bats for a .250 batting average with 3 home runs. His stats include 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has played in 14 games. |
