Fleet Mike Weiss Wins NC Award Monday, May 10th , 2021 It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Mike Weiss, the San Diego Fleet 22-year-old designated hitter, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for National Conference Player of the Week honors. He ripped 11 hits in 25 at-bats, compiling a .440 average with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. This year, Weiss is hitting .279 with 39 hits, 5 home runs, 13 RBIs and has scored 19 runs. |
