Mendoza Belts 5 Hits Tuesday, January 2nd , 2018 Bobby Mendoza did a number on the Zephyrs in the (CLE) Irvine 20-7 victory today, and the number was 5. The Sky Sox center fielder banged out 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Thunderbolts Ballpark to lead his club past the (HLW) New Orleans Zephyrs. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Bobby Mendoza hit a solo-shot off Greg Schmit in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Juan Gonsalez in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
