Jarka Keeps Hit Streak Alive Thursday, January 16th , 2020 Mitch Jarka, center fielder for the (OAK) Apodaca Gangsters, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 4 games with 2 hits in his club's 7-3 victory today over the (SF) Newport News Shipbuilders at Newport Park today. "Not the outcome we wanted," (SF) Newport News manager said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Mitch Jarka hit an RBI single in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. Jarka currently has a .410 batting average with 48 hits, 10 homers, 44 RBIs, 34 runs scored and a .474 OBP. |
