Mike Bryan of the (OAK) Apodaca Gangsters passed pitcher Jesse Vecchio in career strikeouts and now has the record. He collected strikeout number 188 and set the new standard at Gangsters Ballpark today. "Jesse Vecchio is in a league by himself," Bryan said after the game. "It's unbelievable that I broke his record." Bryan has compiled an ERA of 0.45 so far this season, winning 2 games with no losses and 5 saves. In 12 relief appearances he has hurled 20 innings, yielded 17 hits and struck out 32. Opposing hitters have batted .221 against Bryan. |
