Fitzgerald Ups Hit Streak to 1 Consecutive Games

Josh Fitzgerald's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 1 games. The (HH) Tijuana first baseman smacked 1 hit against the (DB) Oceanside Bolts in today's game at Bolts Ballpark, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Trappers drop the game, 4-0.
"I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Josh Fitzgerald grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This season, Fitzgerald is swinging the bat at a .362 pace. He has hit 8 home runs and scored 21 times, while driving in 30. His on-base percentage is .427 and he has played in 28 games.
