Hit Streak Over, Herons Stop Fry Wednesday, January 13th , 2021 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Brandon Fry as he saw his 0-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 2 at-bats at the hands of the (TB) Ana Maria Island Herons. It wasn't all bad for the 21-year-old catcher and the (DET) Amarillo Dynamo however, as they defeated (TB) Ana Maria Island, 11-2, at Dynamo Ballpark. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Fry laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." For the season, Fry is hitting at a .398 clip with 6 home runs, 19 RBIs and has scored 20 runs. He has 33 hits, 24 walks and a .537 on-base percentage. |
