Stauring Blasts 3 out of the Park Saturday, January 12th , 2019 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Jasper Stauring did today at Sky Sox Ballpark, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 23-0. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Stauring said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The (DB) Oceanside Bolts left fielder blistered the (CLE) Irvine Sky Sox for 5 hits, batted in 9 runs and scored 5 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," (CLE) Irvine manager said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Jasper Stauring struck out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Ramon Sotelo in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Tony Martinez in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Luis Diaz in the 9th. This year Stauring is hitting at a .357 pace with 19 home runs and 51 RBIs. He has played in 29 games and scored 36 times. |
