5-Hit Game for Laster
Sunday, January 5th , 2020
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the (CHS) Jupiter's 33-3 win over (SD) Guadalupe today, shortstop Josh Laster was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Jackrabbits Ballpark.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Laster said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Josh Laster singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 7th.
For the season Laster has produced 26 hits in 69 at-bats for a .377 average with 6 home runs and gotten on base at a .488 clip.
