Heathens Scratch Out 1-0 Win
In a low-scoring contest between the Halifax Heathens and the Dallas Dragons, Jack Ivory, who finished 5th in the AC in ERA with 3.36 last year, proved to be the difference. The Halifax left-hander earned props for his performance in the 1-0 Heathens win. Picking up the save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Harkey. By defeating Dallas, the first-place Heathens improved to 49-34.

Mike Doherty provided a timely hit. The Halifax catcher delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Heathens on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Doherty said.
