Mounties Get Extra-Inning, 8-7 Win
Mike Pierskalla had a good game, but he could not keep the Hollywood Stars from falling, 8-7, to the Vancouver Mounties at Hollywood Grounds. The Hollywood catcher was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Kyle Rodriguez picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Jose Ceballos suffered the loss. With the victory, the Mounties upped their record to 46-36.

Vancouver needed the clutch hitting of Josh Elder to notch the win. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mounties on top, 8-7. For the game, Elder had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Vancouver skipper Zaire Hyde.
