The Gladiators grabbed a win, 4-2, at Hollywood Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from Hollywood pitcher Chris Phillips. Phillips went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. With the loss, Hollywood falls to 5-4.

Victor Gonzalez came through with a big-time hit for Phoenix. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Gonzalez told the Phoenix Daily.
