Maine beat Cincinnati at The Castle, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to center fielder Ken Gavin. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Maine pitcher Matt Haselden got the win. He's now 4-1. Matt McCracken was tagged with the loss. With the win, Maine pushed its record to 55-27.

Maine left fielder Skyler Fundis helped the Pines go up, 4-3, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Fundis hit a run-scoring single off Cincinnati pitcher Matt McCracken.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Gavin.
