The Indianapolis Eagles powered past the Cincinnati Royals, 8-3, at Eagles Stadium. Mark Payne provided some of the pop. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for Indianapolis.

Danny Aleman had a big 2-run double for the Eagles in the bottom of the third inning. With Indianapolis trailing 2-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from Andy Dooley, who finished 2nd in the NC in strikeouts with 300 in 2018, and swatted a double to center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Eagles ahead, 3-2.

"It never gets old," said Aleman. "Winning, that is."
