The Hollywood Stars beat the Mexico City Aztecs, 10-9, at Hollywood Grounds. The win was due in part to right fielder Adam Cooper, who was 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Aztecs, now 47-34, have lost 4 in a row.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jamal Martin in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old left-handed pitcher R.J. Eisen to win the game for Hollywood. The home crowd went nuts.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Martin, "but we got it done."
