The Detroit Giants picked up a win at Nightmare Stadium, knocking off the New York Nightmare, 6-4. Starting pitcher Julian Bryant played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Bryant, now 7-2. He tossed 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 10. The Giants now own a record of 30-51.
Detroit used the hitting of Ruben Cabriales to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Giants on top, 4-0. For the game, Cabriales had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Detroit manager Blake Barber commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
