Whitis Delivers Walk-Off Win for Roadrunners
Mexico City Roadrunners starter Justin Berry pitched his team past the Toronto Trash Pandas in 12 innings, 2-1. The winner was Mexico City reliever Nate McClaskey, now 1-2. The loser was Tom Mott. The Roadrunners raised their record to 3-5.

Batting in the bottom of the 12th, 24-year old first baseman Jeff Whitis had a real shot to win the game. Toronto pitcher Tom Mott was determined not to let it happen. But with one out, Whitis hit a run-scoring single. The Roadrunners had a walk-off triumph.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Whitis.
