Scorpions Lose to Trash Pandas, 6-2
The Toronto Trash Pandas picked up a win at Trash Panda Field, taking down the Syracuse Scorpions, 6-2. Starting pitcher Moises Cruz was a big reason why. The Trash Pandas saw their win-loss record go to 41-39. At the same time, the Scorpions fell to 37-43.

The Scorpions had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Trash Pandas going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old first baseman Phil Tibbits came to the plate. Tibbits hit a 3-run home run on a 2-1 changeup from Syracuse hurler Jason Cox. It was Tibbits's 13th home run of the year.

"I just trusted my stuff," said Cruz.
