The Indianapolis Eagles eked out a 3-2 win versus the Tampa Bay Captains at Ahoy Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Jonathan Higginbotham. He was terrific. The winner was Higginbotham. He threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was Ben O'Halloran. Jonathan Gonzales earned his 4th save in 9 chances.

Jim Anderson, who is tied for 8th in the NC with a .463 slugging percentage, had a direct impact on the outcome. Anderson contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Indianapolis up, 3-1.

"Losing puts me in a bad mood," said Tampa Bay manager Humberto Lopez. "And right now nobody wants to be around me."
