Eric Hicks, who is rated as the 93rd best prospect by BNN, led Maine to a triumph over Boston. The final score was 12-6. The third baseman went 4 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 3 runs and added 3 RBI. The Pines have now won 6 straight.

Jimmy Frew had a big grand slam home run for the Pines in the bottom of the second inning. With Maine leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a cutter from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Cowels and punished it.
