In a low-scoring contest between the Halifax Heathens and the Philadelphia Marauders, Adam D'Alberto, who finished 2nd in the AC in ERA with 2.83 in 2022, proved to be the difference. The Halifax left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Heathens win. Billy Shields picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-1. Justin Erim was tagged with the loss. Jeff Buck recorded his 21st save for Halifax.

Halifax used the timely hitting of Austin Compton to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Heathens on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Halifax manager David Morris commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."

Halifax is now 41-38.
