Great Day for Lunsford -- 5 Hits
Tim Lunsford put on a hitting clinic at Lubbock Cooper High School Stadium, spraying hits all over the ballpark and lashing Saint Francis High School pitchers for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. However, the offensive onslaught wasn't enough for the Lubbock Cooper High School Pirates, who still fell, 3-2.

"Sometimes I try to pull the ball too much, so today I just went with the pitch," Lunsford told reporters after the game. "It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too."
