The Daytona Beach Sea Turtles knocked off the Hollywood Stars, 8-4, in National Conference action at Hollywood Grounds. Daytona Beach pitcher and Havana, Cuba, native Rodolfo Soto had an outstanding performance. The Stars, now 33-45, have lost 5 in a row.

Daytona Beach won the game in part because of Aaron Rakers. The first baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Sea Turtles ahead, 2-1. For the game, Rakers had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Rakers said.
