The Montreal Maroons got a stellar effort from pitcher Phil Dalton, helping Montreal score a win over the visiting Phoenix Gladiators, 5-2. Picking up the save was Ron Faulkner, his 25th. Phoenix, at 38-40, has lost 4 straight.
Montreal took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Quinn Kovacs hit a 2-run single to make it 4-2, Maroons.
