Dragons Turn Back Giants, 3-2
|
Julian Bryant, who is tied for 6th in the AC in wins with 8, pitched well, but the Detroit Giants still fell short, losing, 3-2, to the Dallas Dragons at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. Dallas pitcher Jason Burget earned the win, hiking his record to 3-0. Julian Bryant suffered the loss. Earning his 15th save of the year was Rick Ways.
Justin Bellamy drove in one run against the Giants. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Dallas in front, 3-2.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Detroit manager Sean O'Leary.
Their 34-43 record puts the Dragons last in the American Conference South Division.
