Sea Dogs Take Tight Tangle
|
Hollywood got a big-time effort from pitcher Alfredo Tiscareno, but it wasn't enough to keep the Charleston Sea Dogs from winning the game, 3-2. Tiscareno threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Now 58-19, the Sea Dogs have won 11 in a row.
Charleston used a timely hit from 26-year old left fielder Tim Hutchison to get the win. The first baseman delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Sea Dogs on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was huge.
After the game, Charleston manager Chad Hart applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
